Resolutions

OK, let's just put them out there. Hold me to them, World. But keep in mind, these are for 2012-2014. Three years instead of just one. My next job is to come up with a tracking system for all these things. I'm going to do it all this time. I CAN DO IT, DANGIT!

PHYSICAL

At least 2 5K’s

At least 1 10K

Do another round of the Clean Program.

Buy a bike

Go the gym at least 3 times per week for a year.

Be able to do at least one pull-up.

Do posture exercises 3 times per week and stand up straight.

Stop drinking sugar drinks

Dress up to go out.

Floss every day for 30 days

Lose 20 friggin' pounds, or at least 15.

SPIRITUAL

Begin a personal history.

Memorize a scripture with kids once per month for twelve months.

Read scriptures every day for a year

Attend the temple at least once every two months.

Do a painting inspired by a scene from the Book of Mormon.

Pray daily with Arnie.

Learn how to use the new family history web site.

Keep a thankfulness journal.

Read the Book of Mormon.

SOCIAL

Write a real letter every week for a year

Plan to send Christmas cards with photos on December 1 of 2012

Call a long-distance friend once a month.

Visit Shelley in Alabama.

Create an updated address book and make a digital version in Google contacts

Make a birthday calendar

Visit Coxes in London (Renew passports)

FINANCIAL

Edit and notarize will.

Save $10,000 for emergencies

Organize all bills and paperwork.

Update all accounts on yodlee.com

Rework the budget and stick to it for 5 months.


PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT/HOBBIES

Decide about Epi PhD. (Renew GRE scores)

Learn chess

Become really good at the Ukulele

Watch all the movies on the "AFI top 100 movies of all time" list

Learn how to change the oil.

Make a quilt

Read 101 books - starting with the ones we already own!

Become an informed voter for the 2012 elections.

Write an article for the local paper

Finish memorizing all of the presidents of the United States (and for heaven's sake, stop forgetting James Buchanan).

Have an art show.

Do one painting a month.

Learn how to knit a scarf

Take an art class.

Blog/journal every Sunday

Print a blog book

Read "The Hobbit"

FAMILY

Get kids involved in an organized sport.

Create a chore chart for all three kids

Visit Maine.

Finish Ella's scrapbook

Finish Asher's scrapbook

Finish Thea's scrapbook

Take kids to Nasher and NC MoA

Go camping

Take kids to Fairystone Park

Attend one of Buchanan's street festivals.

HOME

Buy at least one month's supply of at least one food storage per month.

Organize bathroom storage

Cook meals at home every day for 30 days

Repaint the bathrooms.

Get a new piano.

Organize all the digital files

Reupholster (or have reupholstered) the black chairs and the ottoman.

Make a recipe book

Decorate the master bedroom.

Organize kitchen cabinets and pantry

Make a 72-hour kit in backpacks

Make a car emergency kit
