The Haps Around Here
We've been pretty busy around here. We celebrated Asher's 2nd birthday (it's actually March 5th, but we celebrated last weekend while our families were in town). (Please ignore the fact that I drew the brake lights at the front of the car.)
Thea got blessed. Sundays with baby blessings are always special times and this was no exception. Arnie delivered a beautiful blessing with promises of a good and full life for our sweet little Thea-girl. Thanks to all our family members who came up for the occasion (Becky & Patrick, we missed you, but were glad you played it safe with the snowy roads.)
I help lead the activities for the 8-11 year old girls in my church. We had an awesome activity last month where we went with a woman in our congregation to her capoiera studio. The girls paired up with a member of the troupe and learned some sweet moves.
Arnie went to DC and brought back baseball stuff for the kids. Ella's really quite good for just learning, and Asher mostly just enjoyed carrying his stuff around the yard.
Arnie has been suuuuuuper busy with his disseration work and regular work. He just got a very nice award from his company that will pay a third of his salary to work on strictly dissertation research. Hopefully, that will translate into fewer nights and weekend spent in the office and fewer caffeinated drinks to get him through. We visited him at his office last weekend and I snapped this shot of his desktop. So, THAT'S how he's been staying up so late.

Ahhh, capoeira! That's great. I can't believe it's Asher's birthday already. Time is flying by... Miss you!
