Let us take a moment to reflect on the past year of blogging. We've had our good times (people stopping us on the street saying 'Hey, aren't you the girl on that blog?' J/K) ; we've had our bad times (slow uploading of pictures, low readership) and here we are now- one year later resting comfortably in a system that allows quick and easy posting and editing, photo additions, and all sorts of things. We can only look to the future for what it may hold in terms of the direction this blog will take- what new tools we will use to improve your reading experience. Ahhh.... and let us now pay tribute to Ms. Benac, the founding mother of this budding publication. Without her, this blog would not be. And the world would be about 100 pictures of Ella poorer. Thanks Mary. And happy birthday to your's, too.
Enough about that...
One quick story from last night: Ella was having a hard time sleeping for some reason. She wouldn't fall asleep and then she wouldn't stay asleep. At about midnight, I gave in and pulled her out of her crib to snuggle a bit in the rocking chair. She was kind of whimpering and then, out of the blue, she put her hand up on my head and stroked my hair (straightened by Becky) and said "Nice hair." As in, "Hey Baby, nice hair." Not as in "Good dog, nice dog."
