If you didn't quit things, you wouldn't have the time to start so many things.
It's all about practicing. You're practicing being a quiltmaker. You're practicing being a budgeter. You're practicing developing habits, just like substance-dependent individuals practice quitting many times before it takes.
Things you still do:
The kids have not been put up for adoption.
This blog is still going.
You may not formally be learning Spanish, but you still love it and think about it a lot.
You've never turned down a church calling, and you're pretty consistent in how much effort you put into them.
You're a proactive parent, engaging your children in fun, interesting activities and important structure and habit building.
You have become fairly practiced at managing relationships with people with whom you don't easily get along.
Back to the not quitting...
You bathe regularly and brush your teeth.
